Nicole is a violinist in the Treasure Valley String Quartet based in Boise, ID. She was previously a tenured core violinist in the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and has performed in numerous venues as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral musician across the US and internationally. Prior to moving to Virginia, Nicole was living in the Hudson Valley, NY as a concertmaster of The Orchestra Now who frequented NYC venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. She collaborated with Gil Shaham as concertmaster for Gil’s world premiere and recording of Scott Wheeler’s newest violin concerto, “Birds of America” to be released digitally summer 2023.

About Nicole

Ms. Oswald has learned from a pool internationally distinguished violin teachers and musicians throughout her education. She holds advanced degrees from Carnegie Mellon University, the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami and the Eastman School of Music in NY. Through her experience, Nicole has developed a highly specialized and thoughtfully curated method for teaching the violin. She believes that anyone at any stage in their journey can learn to be a violinist with guided lessons, the right tools and positive motivation. Her violin studio aims to create confidence, a great work ethic and an overall joy of learning how to play and share music for ourselves and with others. Nicole is currently accepting new students for her studio in Boise, ID.
